Lead Engineer with proven man-management expertise required for the delivery of high integrity and complex control systems for the nuclear industry. This respected employer provides complete solutions for the handling of hazardous materials.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the electrical, control and instrumentation work packages of high integrity and complex control systems to customer and industry specifications to budget and programme constraints. Other duties will include:

· Defining CE&I scope and deliverables from customer specifications generating budgets & programmes
· Monitor and report progress of deliverables
· Develop concepts designs and specification to meet project and customer requirements
· Manage and supervise a team of CE&I Engineers assigned to the projects and oversee their design activities, particularly in the production of engineering flow diagrams, process mimics, instruments data sheets, instrument schedules, loop diagrams and hook ups
· Electrical panel & installation designs
· Specification of hardware and production of parts lists
· PLC, HMI & SCADA programming
· Manage the interface between the CE&I and the mechanical function
· Provide technical expertise to tenders

In order to be considered for this position, you must have a broad knowledge of managing complex systems in machine control and plant wide automation, producing technical and functional specifications as well as controlling the development of control systems from initial inception through feasibility, concept and final design. You will be proficient in the use of PC’s, CAD-AutoCAD 2004 & Promis-e with some PLC, HMI & SCADA programming experience and knowledge of safety standard IEC 61508 being advantageous.

Nuclear industry experience is advantageous, but not essential.
