Project/Contract Manager with process industry background now sought for a leading systems integrator with a well established reputation for the manufacture of quality MCC and PLC solutions including SCADA, MES & PLC software.
Due to the award of new contracts a Manager is now required to effectively manage a number of concurrent projects through to completion and have responsibility for successful delivery in budget and on time whilst meeting customer expectations. You will be involved in and be responsible for an element of the project encompassing design, specification, implementation, testing, commissioning and handover. Other duties will include:
· To be involved with cultivating existing new customers, building relationships with suppliers and assisting with building new opportunities
· Develop and maintain customer relationships in order to identify potential business opportunities for the company and progress these opportunities through to tender enquiry and/or contract placement
· Manage client’s expectations and resolve where possible issues and disputes throughout all stages of a project and enquiry
· Work with the sales department in the development of robust, cost effective control solutions
· Attend bid reviews when required for tenders
You will be utilising a range of control systems including Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and/or Siemens. You must have previous background of systems integration, budget control, resource planning & forecasting, engineering Health & Safety and other legislative requirements as well as programme control through effective use of project management tools & techniques.
Qualified in electrical/systems/software engineering, we are also seeking candidates with experience of the following:
· Specification, design, installation and commissioning of equipment with internal and/or external environment
· Project management and control techniques
· CAD packages
· CDM, CE, PUWER, HSAW
· Proven commercial acumen
· Management of client/project disputes
