Electrical CAD Design Engineer now sought for a well established and progressive organisation, operating within the world of Automation and Control, with an outstanding record of growth based on providing total automation solutions.

As the business is currently expanding a new Electrical Design Engineer is immediately required with experience of Autocad, to undertake and manage complete control panel design projects within a manufacturing operation at their facility in Birmingham, West Midlands.

A high calibre, confident Engineer is required who displays self motivation, commitment and the ability to work within a team environment is also essential for this role.

Typical duties will include:

• Electrical design, including electrical schematics, control panel GA’s, cable block diagrams, cable/termination schedules, bills of materials
• Project engineering
• Estimating and generating quotations
• Liaising with clients, sub-contractors and other company divisions
• On-site panel surveys
• Control panel sales activities
• Production of contract documentation packages
• Awareness of and conformance to QA procedures
• On-site commissioning
• Instrument calibration

Experience detailed below, beneficial, but not essential.

• Safety circuit design
• ATEX/intrinsically safe systems
• Pneumatic design
